ELECTRICAL ENGINEER II

Individual will be responsible for consulting with clients, planning and designing electrical systems for commercial, retail, educational, religious, industrial and government facilities. Individual should be capable of responding to a flexible and changing project environment. Applicant should be willing to accept challenges and learn new skills with a high level of self-motivation.

Applicant should have a basic knowledge or ability to perform the following:

  • Electrical design from start to finish of lighting systems, power systems for buildings and low voltage systems
  • Perform electrical calculations, using engineering formulas, software and skills
  • Prepare point-by-point lighting calculations and energy code compliance calculations
  • Prepare project specifications
  • Maintain a general knowledge of National Electrical Code
  • Research local, regional and national code requirements for projects
  • Gain knowledge through participation in technical societies

Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering with 3 – 5 years of relevant design industry experience.

  • Prior experience in Consulting Engineering is required
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
  • Experience with AutoDesk Products (AutoCAD, REVIT)
  • Experience with Power System Analysis Software (SKM, EasyPower)
  • Able to work with multi-disciplined engineering teams
  • Limited travel when required

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING INTERN

Anticipated responsibilities include working with other engineers in the design of building & industrial electrical systems, performing calculations and cost estimates, assisting with CAD drafting. Design aspects include arc flash analysis, lighting layout & calculations, power distribution, life safety,  communications and controls.

Candidate shall be an Electrical Engineering student (Sophomore to Senior status).  Experience with AutoCAD/Revit and Microsoft Office products is preferred but not required.  Strong communications skills and ability to multi-task are a must.

Full-time position during summer and part-time during the school year with extremely flexible hours.  Position available immediately.

CAD TECHNICIAN

Position available for self-motivated, energetic individual(s) with Revit 2021 and AutoCAD 2018 experience. Responsibilities include designing / drafting building electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, communications, life safety and controls. Applicants should have minimum AAS degree in drafting-related field or equivalent work experience. Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office products is also required. Individuals in this position will assist in the development of electrical construction documents for various building projects. Previous electrical design experience preferred but not required.
