NDSCS – Old Main

North Dakota School of Science | Wahpeton, ND

Old Main was a complete renovation of the iconic 124-year old, Old Main building on the campus of North Dakota State College of Science.  The renovation included the preservation of many historical aspects of the original facility such as the wood floor, and reclaimed architectural features throughout.

Typical spaces within the facility included classrooms, computer/technology labs, offices and other spaces to support the Student Success Center.

The long-abandoned fourth floor was also opened back up and utilized for additional classroom space, offices and lounge areas.  Even with the focus on historical preservation, the renovation and transformation of the facility still included modern upgrades including LED lighting, interactive TV’s, upgraded data network and building security / fire alarm system.
